Frequently Asked Questions

What is Sugaring?

Sugaring is a form of hair removal safe for all skin types. It is even safe during pregnancy.

Body Sugaring is an art that involves molding our all natural sugar paste into the skin while safely and gently removing the hair from the root leaving your skin with minimal irritation and smooth results.

What ingredients are in your Sugar Paste?

Lemon juice (citric acid), white sugar, & water.

Our sugar paste is 100% eco-friendly, biodegradable, & so natural you could literally eat it!

What do I do BEFORE my appointment?

1. Hair MUST be the length of a grain of rice (1/4") if its not, please trim to that length.

2. NO lotion, oils, or product on any areas you are getting Sugar’d

3. NO deodorant before your underarm Sugaring appointment.

4. NO make-up or skin care products before face Sugaring.

5. NO need to exfoliate the day before or the day of your appointment, our sugar does the exfoliating for you!

What do I do AFTER my appointment?

Our follicles stay open for 24 hours after hair removal. To avoid infection, please avoid direct sun exposure, excessive sweating, sexual activity, saunas, hot tubs/swimming pools, hot showers and any heavy physical activity.

How long does my hair length need to be?

Your hair must be around the length of a grain of rice (1/4″), or 10-14 days after your last shave, depending on how fast your hair grows.

If your hair is too short the time of your appointment, you run the risk of having hair that gets left behind and full cost of the service is still required.

If my hair is really long, can you trim before my Sugaring appointment?

We do not offer any trimming before Sugaring, so its important you come with an appropriate length for us to work with.

If your hair is way longer than our guideline, the hair may break off instead of being pulled out by the root and it becomes more uncomfortable for you.

Can I be Sugar'd if I have sensitive skin?

Yes! Any type of hair and skin type can be Sugar’d, it's even 100% safe during your entire pregnancy!

With Sugaring, only the dead skin and hair is removed – none of your live skin can be removed. Our sugar paste is applied at room temperature, so it can NEVER burn you!

Can I be Sugar'd if I'm menstruating?

Yes, you can! We just ask you wear a tampon or a cup prior to your appointment.

When our bodies are going through cyclical changes, hormones can alter your sensitivity tolerance. Sometimes this can be a bit more uncomfortable, but it is still safe and completely up to you - you know your body best!

How long does the hair stay away after Sugaring?

Most clients find they stay hair free for 2 weeks before the hair starts to slowly grow back in.

Consistency with Sugaring is key, the more you come in, the slower and thinner the hair grows in between visits.

NOTE: shaving in between appointments slows down this process.

Is Sugaring less painful than waxing?

Sugaring tends to be slightly less painful than traditional waxing due to us pulling out the hair in the same direction of the hair growth as opposed to the opposite which causes less redness and irritation overall.

Keep in mind we still do take your hair out by the root and there is some pain involved.

How often do you suggest getting Sugar'd?

For areas below the waist, we suggest you get Sugar’d every 4-6 weeks.

Areas above the waist grow at different rates, you may want to get your eyebrows or underarms done more often and your arms less often.

How does sugaring work toward a permanent hair removal solution?

Regular hair extraction eventually leads to permanent hair loss.

When hair is extracted, it pulls some of the follicle wall out with it each time eventually causing it to collapse.

Regular appointments and no shaving in between speeds up this process.

What age can you start your Sugaring journey?

For a brazilian service you must be 18+. Under 18 requires a guardian. All other services are all ages.

NOTE: if you are bringing your child in to get Sugar'd for the first time, please let reception know. If you are unsure if they can sit through a full appointment, please start with a small service and work your way up.

We have the right to refuse any service that is inflicting too much pain onto a minor and if they voice several times they don't want to continue the service, we will be forced to stop and payment will still be required for the entire appointment.

Can I get my whole body Sugar'd at one time?

No, we don't sugar full bodies all in one appointment. We suggest splitting up your appointment between 2 technicians or on 2 separate days.

Trust us, a full body takes multiple hours and is a very long, uncomfortable appointment for the client and technician.

We like to split upper body and lower body to give you a break (provided we have time in our busy schedule to accommodate this) we suggest calling at least a month ahead to secure your spots in advance.

Do you offer Male Brazilian's?

Unfortunately we do not sugar male brazilian's at any of our locations.
